Today is my Mom's Birthday. She's 21 today! :) I don't think that she would appreciate it if her daughter posted her age on the internet. Every year I kid around and say that she's turning 21on her birthday. :) Just because I can post this, I will. You can look up any day of the year on Encarta and see what happened in history that day.
Although I read this the other day in the local newspaper-- here's the Mary Kate and Ashley rumour about them attending college in Ohio that's been spreading around the internet. Even UC was mentioned.

OOPS. While using the "Blog This" feature, which allows you to link from other sites without having to log into Blogger directly, I entered the following entry twice:
Hey, I grew up here. Although when I was there, it was called Hillcrest Apartments. My parents and I lived in a two bedroom towne house. I remember we moved out on my Dad's birthday one year (August 26th), basically because the rent was increasing, and so were the number of roaches. Imagine being 6 years old and seeing a roach crawling on your bathroom heater with a baby roach on its back. I'll be 21 this year (July 2nd actually) and that image is still seared into my brain.
Anyway, this article reminded me of how all those people, including a friend of my Mom's had to rush and move out, due to problems with plumbing and abestos. The city could barely help with each family's moving expenses. Although the article speaks of how crime has decreased drastically in the community of Bond Hill, due to a greater part of its population having to move out of Huntington Meadows (aka Hillcrest Apartments), it made me think about my first 8 years of life, growing up in that complex.

Of course, after the Raiders lost the Super Bowl on Sunday, they were going to take their anger to the streets.

I've about had it with this boycott that's going on here in Cincinnati. Look what the public missed out on this time.

Until I have time to include a link for my guestbook, I'll post it here for now:

I've basically abandoned this site after a few unsuccessful tries with entries. I am such a klutz- I would sign out before pressing post! But I've basically got over that aspect, finished up my fall quarter work, suffered through finals, enjoyed Christmas, New Years and a birthday or too, and I'm currently on my Winter Quarter co-op assignment. I currently work as a marketing co-op/intern (sometimes, I hate saying, or typing the word "intern" after Monica L. made up a new definition for it) at an architectural firm in the Downtown Cincinnati area. I've been here for a little over a month so far, but the job keeps me busy. This is the first time in my life that I've worked 40 hour weeks, and been away from college for three months. It's strange, because I'm a big geek and I enjoy going to class, well, most of the time. Just keeping track of the phones here is enough to keep you going. But like any job, the office can have its slow days as well, that's just life for ya. So far I like it, but I just miss being on campus to be honest. I miss working at the library (I've been working there for 2 years now, so things are relaxed there), I miss running into my friends on campus, plus I miss waking up at at 7 or 8 in the morning (an extra hour of sleep can make a lot of difference). I'm still active in Bearcast, which at least gives me an excuse to go up to campus once a week. Plus I have to get prepared for Spring quarter as well, my goal is to finish up my Junior year business courses so that I can begin my Senior level courses when its time for the fall qtr to begin. But for now, I have to finish up some marketing proposals, plus I don't want to get caught by my boss while I'm blogging. Hopefully, I can try my best to keep up this site with new entries in the future. That will be my goal, among millions of other goals. Until next time...
